Bark beneath your plants and trees looks good; slowly bio-degrades and adds nutrients to your soil - this is a good thing; reduces weeds; saves water by reducing water evaporation; and keeps plant roots cooler and healthier. 

We have black bark, shredded cedar bark, small chipped bark and a chipped/shredded mixed bark available. Ladybug will deliver the new bark; wheel barrow and spread it; sweep & blow off the bark from nearby driveways, patios and walkways; and if requested apply a pre-emergent weed control. One yard of bark will approximately cover about 300 square feet at about 1" thick, about 150 square feet at about 2" thick. Kids, pets or some other type of damage to your lawn, well, it happens.

We'll prepare the damaged area by scalping off the top 1" or so; loosening the soil and mixing in planting soil and a starter fertilizer; and reseeding small areas. For larger areas we can install new sod that is a fescue/blue grass blend; provide first watering and instruct client on how to maintain new sod until established. Ladybug's grass seed repair is for repair of a small damaged spots, Sod repair is 100 square feet minimum up to 250sq. feet, of an otherwise healthy lawn. Lawn aeration involves the mechanical removal of small soil plugs or cores out of the lawn. The cores are left on the lawn so that as we mow your lawn with our mulching-recycling mowers the soil and nutrients from the cores are mulched back into your soil. Some of the benefits of core aeration include:

• Increasing the activity of soil micro-organisms that decompose and breakdown thatch.
• Increasing water, nutrient and oxygen movement into the soil.
• Improving rooting.
• Enhancing infiltration of water from rainfall and irrigation.
• Helping prevent fertilizer and water run-off from overly compacted areas.
